DESCRIPTION:The Baha’is of San Jose have continued to hold regular devotional\, educational and consultative gatherings on Healing Racism in America and would like to invite participation from the broader faith community. \nThey are the third Friday of each month in a Zoom conference and include prayers\, reflection on the nature of racism\, the principles of justice and racial unity\, and consultation on action we can take as individuals and as members of a wider community. \nHere is the copy from our website (www.sanjosebahai.org): \n“Be anxiously concerned with the needs of the age ye live in and center your deliberations on its exigencies and requirements.” — Baha’u’llah \n“Know ye not why We created you all from the same dust? Since We have created you all from one same substance it is incumbent on you to be even as one soul\, to walk with the same feet\, eat with the same mouth and dwell in the same land\, that from your inmost being\, by your deeds and actions\, the signs of oneness and the essence of detachment may be made manifest.” – Bahá’u’llah \nBuilding on the Healing Racism in America seminar held in February\, the Baha’is of San Jose are hosting a monthly prayer circle for the healing of racism in our country and community.
